March 14: Women in museums.

Join us in an open discussion about the importance of establishing women's voices in history. This workshop will look at how women are making their own spaces in museums to make their mark their own way.

A blank page booklet will be provided to each participant to help them get started in designing their own unique space. Bring your favourite pen, coloured or graphite pencils or ink brush to make your mark. Light refreshments will be provided.

Workshop facilitator: Danielle LaBrie, BFA, MA-IS (Cultural Studies)

March 28: Artist to Artist: Pinpointing your voice.

“Find your strengths and develop them! Don’t waste your time trying to do things that don’t come easy to you. Go with your gut, even if it goes against all rational thinking.” – Marilyn Minter

An open discussion between women artists on how they see their art career and how this career relates to the museum.

Please call or text Danielle at 780 802 2016 for more information or email info@wamsoc.ca
